Knowing the core beliefs of a group helps us relate to them. We know the Anabaptists (who evolved into the Mennonites and the Amish) believed Jesus is the center of their faith and salvation comes by faith in Christ. Community is the center of their life with forgiveness as essential. They believe in the authority of Scripture, the Holy Spirit and believer's baptism. They are not simply Sunday morning Christians but "all week long" Christians. So how does this theology benefit our practices?
