John writes to the church at Laodecia, a place which had all the amenities. They lacked
nothing and feared nothing. It was easy to trust in the security of a wealthy system
and difficult to see that they were "wretched, poor, blind & naked" when it came to
depending on the Source of their strength.When we put our trust in things that don't
last we become lukewarm. The only hope that our eyes will begin to see our plight
is to earnestly repent and put our trust in God.
