Mark wrote this gospel most likely from Peter's eye-witness account about 30 years
after Jesus' death. Peter, known as Simon before Jesus renamed him, was dedicated,
committed, capable of huge acts of faith and often willing to die. Yet, like us, he had
big weaknesses. Through Jesus' power, Peter and Mark were able to proclaim His
purpose to preach the Gospel of the Kingdom of God. Jesus changed their lives and
now we have the same opportunity to share the life changing power of Jesus with
our world.
