Christ believed demons were real and although God is in charge, He has handed this place over to the devil- the ruler of the world. The devil tries to influence us and continuously fights against us but we are encouraged in Ephesians 6 to put on the full armor of God so we can resist the schemes of the devil. It's God's strength and might we rely on- not ours. We don't have to be afraid.
